I am so thrilled that you are here to take the initiative to become a healthier you. I am a scientist who holds a graduate degree in hard science so that my blog posts will provide scientific evidence-based content.
The objective of my blog is to provide well-informed and educated resources, information, advice, hacks, recipes, deals, etc. on various topics included but not limited to a healthy lifestyle, balanced diet, recipes for healthy snacks for kids and adults, etc. I’ll provide recipes for making your own healthy probiotics, particularly yogurt, Kefir, and sauerkraut to avoid ingesting the added sugar that is commonly and unnecessarily added to numerous foods found in grocery stores.
It is unfortunate that the occurrence of diet-related, preventable diseases has increased drastically in recent decades. I myself practice health-promoting behavior, and I truly believe that understanding nutrition is crucial to assessing best practices for health-promoting behavior. This applies not only to healthy people but also to people who suffer from diabetes and obesity.
I am also going to tackle the ketogenic diet aka “keto” diet as well as other diets that fit into the same category such as Paleo, South Beach, and Atkins diets. Is the keto diet really healthy given its high-fat content? Science shows that carbohydrates are the body’s main fuel that provide energy for our central nervous system and muscles during exercise and movement. Eating low-glycemic index (GI) carbohydrates in moderation is safe even for diabetics.
I am also going to debunk the myths that all fats and carbohydrates are bad for your health. I will cover various types of fats including saturated and unsaturated (naturally occurring and trans) fats, and how each of them affects your health. There is a tremendous amount of evidence that indicates the shift in US food consumption since World War II; sadly, the obesity rates have continued to increase despite the fact that the food manufacturers decreased or completely eliminated the fat content in many foods. People should consider scientific facts and data first before rushing to grocery stores to buy their fat-free food.
I look forward to sharing my wisdom with you, and I hope that my blog will make a difference in people’s lives to live longer and healthier lives.
